Compensation for Your Pastors
Here are two great resources for pastors and churches:
(1) Compensation Planning for Pastors, by Jim Fuller, Executive Director, Pastoral Care Inc.
When a church selects a pastor, it is that church’s solemn responsibility to provide adequate compensation for that pastor. The Bible is very clear in instructing churches to provide generously for those called into service. However, many churches struggle when it comes to determining their pastor’s compensation. Most churches do not have an organized plan to guide church leaders in determining a fair compensation package. Without a plan, one plans to fail.
