Church, It Is Time to Deliver!
The measuring and marking of Time dominate our lives.
Time to get up, time to go to work, time for appointments, time to eat, time to go to bed.
Time is so many things to us.
* Time is what the clock tells us. (What time is it?)
* Time is how long it takes to do something. (What’s your best time around the track?)
* It refers back to a cherished memory. (Do you remember that wonderful time?)
* It describes a season of the year. (I love springtime!)
* It describes the generation in which we live. (These are strange times indeed!)

Communicating Urgency
The word “Time” can also be used to communicate urgency.
Time is running out! It is time for action! Now is the time of salvation!
I want to encourage all of my fellow pastors and fellow believers: It is time for us to deliver! It is
time for the Church to deliver. Now is the time for us to accomplish something for the Lord.
For two years the Church has been stuck, frozen in place, in many important ways. But even when things are difficult, even during a pandemic, the heart of
our Savior keeps beating for the lost. Now is the time of salvation.
Have We Lost Our Value?
If the hands of a clock are not moving forward, they are not accomplishing their purpose. A clock that doesn’t work has no value.
In the same way, it is imperative for our churches to start moving forward again. Now is the time for us to deliver a
message of hope. A church that isn’t moving forward, carrying out the work of the Lord, has lost its value.
It Is Time!
It is time for us to renew our spirit.
It is time for pastors and church members to bring forth new and creative outreach programs to our communities.
It is time to stir up our hunger to see souls won into the Kingdom of God! I hope and pray that we have not lost that desire.
It is time for the Church to deliver. Will your church be one that rises up and delivers to meet the need of these times?
Now that Easter is behind us, we must make the most of our time. The Resurrection story should still be burning in our hearts. God loves us so much that He sent His only
Son. Our hearts should be on fire with the urgent desire to share that good news.
It is time to seek the lost. This is our mission, purpose, and great commission.
“We must carry out the works of Him who sent Me as
long as it is day. Night is coming, when no one can work.” Jesus (John 9:4)

Wise Words . . . about Time
• Ephesians 5:15-16: “Be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of your
time, because the days are evil.”
• Ecclesiastes 3:1:
“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven.”
•
“Time waits for no one.” Anonymous from many centuries ago.
• Psalm 90:12:
“Teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.”
• Psalm 31:14-15:
“As for me, I trust in You, Lord, I say, ‘You are my God.’ My times are in Your hand.”
• “Lost
time is never found again.” Benjamin Franklin
• Proverbs 16:9:
“The mind of a person plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
• “How did it
get so late so soon? It’s night before it’s afternoon. December is here before it’s June. My goodness how the time has flewn.” Dr. Seuss
