Despite Pandemic, a Great Year of Supporting Pastors

The past two years were tough on all of us, including most pastors and most churches. It has certainly been a tough time for us here at Pastoral Care Inc.,
as well. Praise God that the pandemic finally seems to be moving into the background.
But God is good!
Even during the tough times. Especially during the tough times.
As we pray for
new and better things in 2022 ...
And as we continue to do all that we can do to support and strengthen pastors ...
Pastoral Care Inc. thanks God that even during the pandemic, God never stopped giving us many great opportunities to serve pastors and
churches.
Pastors retreats,
attractions and getaways for pastors, a pastors trip to the Holy Land -- here are some of Pastoral Care’s highlights during 2021:

Pastors Retreats in Branson
Pastoral Care Inc. held six retreats for pastors and their spouses in Branson, Missouri, during 2021. We are glad to say we did not have a single incidence
of Covid during any of those week-long meetings.
Our retreats are five-day events, with all expenses paid for the pastors and spouses who are chosen to participate. The retreats are a wonderful and
much-needed time of rest and reflection for pastors.
Every church leader needs to getaway every now and then from the day-to-day demands of leading a church to be refreshed and renewed, and to spend quality
time with one’s spouse. During the last two years, these retreats have especially been a blessing for pastors, as they have struggled with the many stresses and challenges related to the
pandemic.
In the last eight years, hundreds of pastors have attended a Pastoral Care retreat. Now here’s an amazing statistic: 99.6% of those pastors
are still active in the ministry today!
One of the big concerns that motivated Jim Fuller to launch Pastoral Care Inc. in 2004 was the knowledge that so many pastors leave the ministry each year
and so many churches are unable to fill their pulpits. Pastoral Care retreats have helped to keep hundreds of pastors encouraged and active in ministry. Many pastors have told us that they
look back on the Pastoral Care retreat they attended as a turning point in their ministry.

Attractions and Getaways for
Pastors
Even during the
pandemic, we booked thousands of discounted tickets for pastors and their families to attend attractions and other getaways. During 2021, we provided more than 3,500 discounted tickets to
pastors and church leaders, providing a total savings of more than $200,000!
Many of our nation’s
most popular attractions recognize the importance of blessing pastors and are happy to partner with Pastoral Care Inc. Destinations that partner with us to offer discounted tickets to pastors include
Silver Dollar City, Sight & Sound Theaters, Dolly Parton's Stampede, Branson Showboat, White Water, Hughes Brothers, and Dollywood.

Jim Fuller,
executive director of Pastoral Care Inc., and wife Susie took 15 pastors and their spouses to the Holy Land in January 2022. We were able to provide these 10-day trips to pastors for
about half the normal cost of such a tour.
Many pastors have

Our Pastoral
Care Inc. website receives more than 10,000 visitors a month! Our website has more than 300 pages of information and materials for pastors and churches. Check it out for yourself at www.pastoralcareinc.com .
One of the most
frequent comments we have heard from pastors over the years is that they learned the Scriptures at their Bible college or seminary, but they didn’t receive sufficient training in the many practical
aspects of ministry.
Pastoral Care’s
website meets that need by providing a wealth of information on such topics as background checks, benevolence, child abuse prevention, pastoral compensation, weddings and funerals, pastor
appreciation -- and so many other topics.
The many hundreds of
website visitors we receive each day is evidence of just how much these practical resources are needed by our pastors and churches.
Refresh Pastor Newsletters
Of course,
Pastoral Care Inc. sends out this email newsletter, Refresh, free of charge to pastors and church leaders across the country.
We receive many
grateful responses from our readers, who often tell us that the topic we addressed in one of our newsletters was exactly what they were dealing with at that time.
During 2020 and
2021, several of our newsletters dealt with the many unique challenges pastors and churches faced during the pandemic. Many pastors told us the guidance and encouragement we provided in
Refresh was a big help as they navigated this very difficult time.
What the Future Holds
Only God knows what
lies ahead for pastors and churches during 2022 and beyond. It is so often true that life’s biggest trials are the ones we never saw coming.
Whatever the future
holds, we are confident God will continue to preserve His Church and continue to give spiritual strength to the many faithful men and women who have accepted God’s call to
ministry.

will continue to be here to provide those pastors with instruction, encouragement, and support, as God continues to lead the way.
