Over the last 21 years, I have witnessed many things. Our ministry is making an impact in over 9 states and
we have blessed pastors in almost every state. Through these years, we have used ministry statistics to prove the need to bless and encourage our pastors and churches. It is also imperative that we
are visible in denominational meetings, encouraging our pastors, and providing the necessary resources and care that was not previously available to our pastors.
However; ministry statistics for the most part do not paint a bright future. While statistics can be used to
correct and prevent shortcomings or mistakes, they can also create a negative outlook for pastors and churches trying to move the church forward.
Today, I want
to share 3 optimistic statistics in moving the church
forward in 2026:
Pastoral Care is making a difference by blessing thousands
of pastors each year. In fact over 99.7% of the pastors we touch or bless, remain in the ministry! This further
validates the need for a ministry like ours to encourage and strengthen our pastors now and in the future.
GenZ and millennials are showing signs of increased religious participation. There are statistics showing the GenZ population buying more Bibles and are actually attending church. This could be for a few reasons: The Holy Spirit is moving. These people are
perhaps understanding there is something more they need in their life other than what this world is providing and many have not been hurt or disappointed by churchgoers. In fact, some researchers are
stating that GenZ attendees attend church more regularly than any other group. Why not focus on those desiring to come?
82 % of un-churched people would attend church if asked. The
church has never had a better opportunity than it does now. But many of our pastors have told us they become frustrated in trying to get church people to invite others to church.
Why not launch a new campaign from January through Easter in trying to invite as many people to church as
possible, make a contest of it, let this be a new theme and thrust for your church in 2026 instead of just telling your people to invite someone to church. Why do something different? Because it is
not happening, Only 2% of church people will actually invite someone to church. I think this will create excitement and positive results for your church. After all, the purpose of the church should
be to reach those who are lost and hurting?
Pastors, we are praying for you every day and I am believing for increase in 2026!!! If we can help you in
any way, please remember Pastoral Care is always here for you. God bless you in your endeavors in 2026!
